 | Xylitol…Not So Sweet for Dogs The ASPCA’s Animal Poison Control Center has reported an increase in the number of xylitol poisonings among dogs. Xylitol, a common sugar substitute, has been known to be harmful to dogs in large quantities, but now new findings suggest that even a little of the sweetener can be dangerous—two sticks of sugar-free gum could be a serious problem for your pet.
